Character: Naba "Chizu-nee" Chizuru
Series: Mahou Sensei Negima (manga)
Character Age: 15
Canon: NOTE: Chizu-nee is being apped from prior to the magical world adventure arc.

Mahou Sensei Negima follows the story of a Negi, a young boy who aims to become a great wizard and to both follow in his father's footsteps and find his father, a feat which is somehow to be accomplished by teaching a highly energetic class of middle school girls. Of course, many of them have or gain their own magic powers, and over the course of the series they join Negi to assist in his quest.

Chizu-nee, however, has yet to join up with the group assisting Negi or even learn about the magical world. Instead, she carries on what seems like a mundane life of volunteering at the campus daycare and acting as a kind of den mother to her roommates. She adores children and helping people and is known for her incredible patience and tolerance regarding them. She's also very perceptive, a trait that comes in handy when gauging whether someone is a serious threat or merely upset. Chizu-nee also possesses a strong moral sense and incredible levels of bravery—although she has no combat skills we know of, she appears to be almost completely fearless in the face of threats being made against other people. Conversely, she's well known for her temper, especially over slights against herself, and will often resort to terrifyingly stern looks or comedic violence if need be.

She does frequently heart-mark in canon and is prone to occasional "ara ara"s or "(oh) my"s.

Ara ara, it's certainly an . . . interesting day camp you've got here. I've never heard of one with a horror theme before, but the children do seem to be enjoying it. I suppose I would too if I got to dress up like that~ But I wish they hadn't been so stubborn about staying in character. The little werewolves growling were cute, but the zombie children refused to say anything but "brains" for the first hour! It usually doesn't take me that long to get children to behave, but I did finally get them to actually speak with me. Although they wouldn't stop moaning everything. —How did I do it? Why, it only takes the right approach and a good, stern look. ♥

I also thought the treats for snack-time were . . . something, but I wish I'd been more prepared for them. I wasn't expecting to open the refrigerator and see trays of human fingers and brains in jello cups! I suppose I can't blame you for wanting to remain true to the horror theme, but it would have been nice to warn your volunteer when you've made everything so realistic. Even filling the fingers with that red syrup . . . !

Oh, the children loved them, although it put them into quite a frenzy~! I was sure some of them were about to take each other's arms off. It's a good thing I was able to get them outside to work that energy off. ♥ And my, the "scary" playground is really rather cute! The spider web jungle gym is my favorite, but I think it would be much better if it weren't quite so sticky. I can only go pry a child off of it so many times before I begin to lose my patience with it~ Even worse is that animatronic spider at the top of the web. I'm sure it's entertaining most of the time, but it froze up today with a little girl pinned under its legs! I had to give it quite a firm slap before it started moving again so I could get her out. I'd really had enough of the playground after that incident.

Thankfully, even a bunch of energetic kids didn't want to stay out long in that heat, so I decided to let them work off creative energy in arts and crafts instead. ♥ But, you know, after seeing their drawings, I've become quite concerned about the way all this exposure to so many frightening things is affecting them. Of course there were plenty of normal pictures by most of the children. I especially liked the little girl who drew a tentacle beast on a silo fighting a group of people. Quite an impressive imagination in that girl! However~ I can't help but be concerned when a child draws a picture of me being eaten by himself and his friends. That's certainly a cause for alarm. Perhaps it's time to rethink the theme, don't you agree?

Ara ara, I thought so. ♥
